Hi from newcastle

Post by Cockers1 »

Alright guys I'm Ben 18 from Newcastle upon Tyne.

I once tried to join the RAF but was knocked back as my BMI was apparently to high but nevermind..
I started training whilst playing rugby to work on getting it down but, suffered injury from rugby and never got back into it..

NOW I'm looking to apply to the army in june as a Logistical Air Dispatcher.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows the weight limits and bmi requirements for this.
I know I am carrying extra baggage as I weigh in at 17st4 and about 5"10 so I have work to do.
I quit smoking and have not smoked for about 7 months I rarely Drink now and if I do it is in moderation!

I'm really determined to drop weight and join up before I end up not doing it an regretting it.

If anyone has anytips for loosing weight toning muscle up and just getting fit, it would be much appreciated, cheers

Just run, run, run bud! You might find the targets difficult at first, but stay committed and you'll get there! If you feel hungry in between mealtimes then try drinking some water, or snacking on some fruit. Stick to white meats where you can and vegetables. Avoid anything that's greasy pastry, chips, batter etc.

I wouldn't recommend a strict diet and certainly wouldn't suggest skipping any of your three square meals per day, put most of your concentration into your fitness and be determined. The pounds will fall off.

There's a good structured programme here: http://www.militaryforums.co.uk/forums/ ... 92&t=42018

good luck mate :)
