Thanks Walter. Glad to know there are some out there who take this seriously. Wondering where Sissypuss is now?

Cheers,

Fair enough but perhaps an apology is in order...

Feel free to apologize .....

We don't need this - not here or elsewhere on this Forum

what we really don't need is people selling fraudulent equipment which may well have put the lives of UK personnel at risk, let alone the fact that we know a number of bombs got through checkpoints using these ridiculous swivelling aerials, and may hundreds at least are dead as a result of the corrupt trade, and false hopes.

Now, when Techo and I tried to bring this to your attention, to try to get support for the cam[aign, we mainly got the piss takers.

Now, if it was not evident to everybody that a swivelling aerial could only detect radio signals, and then only if attached to a receiver and a power source. Absolutely crazy.

So, that is why I feel that at least some here may wish to apologise. I certainly will not, since Techo and I have worked hard to shut this business down. It was particulraly galling that these companies received support fom the UK Government, MOD and Royal Engineers. Now the full story will come out and we will be able to identify which fools fell for this scam.

Maybe some of you will like to let John Wyatt of SDS, who is the UK agent for Unival and the HEDD1 (Hasn't Even detected DooDoo Once), formerly known as the Sniffex Plus. Wyatt Twerp is ex-military and, until Newsnight got hold of him, was still merrily trying to pitch their version of this ludicrous toy to the UK military, and claiming it was bloody marvellous. What a comrade eh!!

Anyway, that's the last time I'll bother posting, other than to let you have any new links to further substantive media coverage.

Think carefully those who mocked. Were we right or wrong?

Thanks for the link.

The Newsnight episode is disturbing. Well done to all those involved in exposing this scam.

This beggars belief.

A mate alerted me to this.

Thankfully this scam has been exposed, but what was the cost?

Pilgrim..so good you are glad the scam has been exposed. Funny that. Techowiz and I told you all about this many moons ago, and what did we get?

Bit confused though. What do you mean at what cost?

In comparison to the lives and say the $85 million USD Iraq spent on the ADE 651 via corrupted officials at teh Iraqi Interior Ministry?

See here for some good news on that score:

http://explosivedetectorfrauds.blogspot ... -back.html

whether more money can be found from this and other frauds (eg GT200 - did we mention that Global Technical doctored the Royal Engineers report) is down to tracking down retd General Pierre Hadji Georgiou at ProSec in Lebanon, and probably money James McCormick has hidden/laundered through his Romanian connections at Mira Telecom. That along with getting the Thais and Mexicans (at least) to go after Gary Bolton, who won't be driving a flash Porsche for much longer.

As for anyone who did get fooled. Check out dowsing and the ideomotor effect. It does not work in any field, whether waving about swivelling aerials, stick, coat hangers or pendulums.

Hi to Walter and Rogue Chef by the way.

Watch out for more to come....

And at what cost, well, at least a few insults from some of you. But hey, we can take that!!

After all, I've been threatened with legal action by Gary Bolton, David Vollmar at Unival with the equally ludicrous HEDD1 (formerly Sniffex), and Ilie Stelian at Mira Telecom. Funny, no paperwork yet... am gagging for a day in Court with any or all of them!!

I didn't tell you before that one of my oldest and dearest friends was an Annapolis graduate, from a poor background, and went on to become a US Navy Seal (sadly he is now departed) who worked US EOD in Vietnam. A fine man, and a real hero. I did this partly for him because he hated bs in the extreme.

So, you are in our loving memory forever Lt.Cmdr. PH (sorry, I won't give his full name) -He told me that tenacity is the key to success. I hope you can now see that Techowiz and I were right all along, and our motives were absolutely pure.

Now we are after the lot, lock, stock and bloody huge barrel (at least that what me lass says!)

Cheers for now, and to those of you serving, good on you boys and girls. I've chucked a fair few quid at Help The Heroes. Hope you don't need it!!

Ok, so can we say that you are now onside?

Anyone who is please join our new Google Group here, and get your friends and colleagues in. No need to partcipate. Just weight of numbers will be great.

Oh, nearly forgot..The latest great news:

http://uk.reuters.com/article/2011/02/1 ... H120110217

From the man who said:

“Whether it’s magic or scientific, what I care about is it detects bombs,” said Maj. Gen. Jehad al-Jabiri, head of the Ministry of the Interior’s General Directorate for Combating Explosives.

“I don’t care about Sandia or the Department of Justice or any of them,” General Jabiri said. “I know more about this issue than the Americans do. In fact, I know more about bombs than anyone in the world.”

More soon folks! There needs to be e.g why no arrest warrants out fro General Pierre Hadji Georgiou from ProSec, or Ilie Stelian at Mira Tel in Romania. Or even McCormick himself. He must be a fugitive risk. Have they taken his passport away?

so come on, one last big push and we'll get 'em all.

None of this would have happened without Techowiz! maybe some apologies due from some here now. But no hubris on our part.

Now may the rest be rounded up.

Hyperlithe wrote:If as you say these companies are making fraudulent claims, then what precisely do you expect any of us to be able to do about it?

Take it up with someone who has some input, and stop wasting our time.
We've got quite enough to worry about already, don't you think?
Were we right to pursue this, now the main UK perps have been charged with fraud. You bet!

Had you guys helped us earlier instead of carping maybe we could have got a result earlier!

Techowiz has actually served his country too, in a different way to you, but no less bravely!

Again - how exactly were any of us supposed to 'help'?

I know nothing on the subject of explosives detectors, and I'm not about to start shouting about something just because some faceless name on the internet asks me to.

Jolly good, well done, whatever...

Noted how you singled out my post by the way, despite the fact that I never said you were wrong, only that I didn't see what you expected us to do about it. You know nothing at all about how I serve my country, so don't try and compare.
You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.

As Hyperlithe has put it - go away ....

Stop bothering the readers of these pages -

If you've done something you are proud of then go and crow on your own patch -

We are not in a position to advise the MoD on where and how to spend our money - even though you make it sound as though a better funding of your school would make sense ....

Techowiz, Scambuster/Dubious Dick/Diohuni,

Thanks for all the info and especially for any input that assisted this investigation to its successful conclusion.
Just looking back over the thread, it would appear that quite a few members on here doubted you from the beginning and some were quite hostile; which is a shame because I'd like to think that Military Forums is a place where people can discuss military related matters openly and honestly.
