Not sure if this is the right place for this query but has anyone bought from the FOB-UK website? I'm looking at buying some boots.

Whilst I'm on the subject, a mate recommended Bates Falcon boots, does anyone have a view? I want something for bimbling around camp and also capable of a bit of field work. Any views would be welcome. Thanks.

I bought a pair of Lowa Combats around 2 years ago, best boots i've ever worn, great ankle support and last a long time. They'll set you back around £140, they do another boot called Seekers, quite popular with the old bill as they have a more flexible sole, but the grip is not as good for muddy conditions. They do the seekers in a desert boot too and are around £120.

So give the Bates a miss? I was just thinking the Lowa's were a bit heavy though? Anyone bought from the FOB-UK site or got any recommendations for other sites?
