Curious about matter on selection

Apologies to topper_harley. Since were on the subject of SF I have a question that Ive been thinking of for a while now. If someone was to pass the SBS route and eventually got into a SBS unit could you decide if you'd like C, X, Z, or M squadron you'd like to go to?

And The Same for SAS? With Mobility, Air, Mountain, or boat??

I've heard that to, also they can choose to go into the anti-terrorism unit for 9 months.

The general consensus in most books seems to be that the anti-terrorist role is rotated between the different Squadrons rather than a separate unit in itself.

The structure above is confused as well, as Boat, Mobility etc are troops, which are part of a sqn. In answer to the actual question, I don't know, but it wouldn't make any difference as all squadrons will rotate through all roles over a period. You can find all the info on this kind of thing you want reading a few books and piecing the bits together (although it wouldn't surprise me to find a complete unit structure on the web either).
