A tad miffed with myself

Post by talibanhater »

Hi guys, basically I'm a tad miffed with myself, I have always wanted to be a Para, and have been running 9 minute 1.5 miles for a while now.

Anyway I went for selection at Glencorse on the 10th April, but unfortunately I trained too much before I went and my legs were aching on the day, and I knew I wasn't gonna make the time. I ran it in 10.20 which is rubbish. I still passed selection for my local regiment; 1 Mercian and my interviewer said I could possibly transfer once I'm in basic, but thinking about it now I want to go straight into the Paras.

Can I go back to selection and have another go at the run even though I've got a pass certificate already? If so how long will it take? I'm so annoyed with myself I even got extra time for lifting 127kg on the lift 13 pullups but on the run day I knew I wasn't on form.

PLEASE HELP I'M NOT SETTLING FOR ANY OTHER REGIMENT THAN PARA.

Dig your heels in.

"Para or nothing" that's what I had to stick with as they were dead against me applying for the Reg.

Good luck buddy.
