Im guessing you mean the psychometric tests?
You get 30 questions on 4 sections. Verbal Ability, Reasoning, Numeracy, and Mechanical Comprehension. You should be able to find something on each of these if you search the internet, but he will get a practise booklet sent to him at some point to try them out. Their nothing to worry about really, it only lasts around 45 minutes.
- First Interview/Chat - 'Good potential candidate' - March
-Psychometric Tests - Passed - March
-Interview - Passed - 20/03/07
-Eye Test - Passed (Grade 1 Vision) - 03/04/07
-Medical - Passed - 3/04/07
-PJFT - In a while
-PRMC - In a while

ok get some pscyometric test books fron the libary the maths and mechanical comprension is what will probly catch him out you get gcse maths questions with about 30 second's (check time) to answer each qu so you must be proficent you get number patterns,fractions,long divison agelbra, and a few more i cant rember the mechanical comprension is a combination of mechanics and pysicis basicaly make sure he knows that the booklet they give out is to easy and nothing like the real test which is much much harder best of luck

HOW HARD IS IT!! I failed maths and english in school so i wont be able to do the barb test if it is as hard :cry:

It varies per job.

If your not think as s**t (basic english and maths, addition, subtraction, multiplication, long division, percentages) you should be ok.

Oh ok, hopefully ill be ok im only going in for Infantry (Parachute Regiment).

Only one way to find out ey, get down to the AFCO, usually get the BARB within a week or two from application.

i did the royal navy psycometric test at college. when i got my certificate with the list of options available to me there was only tow things i couldn't do, nurse and something else i can not remember. Im targeted to get 3 average grade A levels. One of my mates who is targeted for 3 A's only managed to get the option of royal marines which i was quite suprise at.

Don't worry mate, if you read the small print for the Paras it does state "No brains required." :D
