Yep, i'v been medically withdrawn due to a lower back problem that returned from a while ago.
Gutted, though im glad it happend now than week 21 for example- i'm planning on getting back there soon but have been considering the Officer route again.
I was withdrawn at the end of week 2 so ask any questions about it and ill do my best to answer them.

You just keep your chin up and get back in there. If your going in september i hope im on the same PRMC as you as i get the ball rolling again in August. The corporal was keen to tell me after my medical i can crack on as fast as possible as long as i feel im ready.

JCAP, just wondered, what has made you consider the officer option again? I know you did the POC and went for the officer option before. What has made you want to do it again rather than the recruit path?
So JCAP, it wasn't anything to do with the training or anything? Do you think you would have carried on to the end if you hadn't been MD'd? Or would you have wanted to an officer and quit RT anyway? You're obviously a smart lad, do you think you would have wanted to be an officer half way through training and quit anyway? I know it's hard to say but you must know deep down. Unlucky about the back problem, are you going to see a secialist or something?
Well it takes 7 months and the selection process to get to that point in the first place so i would have needed a serious good reason to stop. I was planning on going for a commission once i had passed out and gotten a little experience, though that would have taken an extra 64 weeks of training which i'm sure having passed out already i wouldnt want to do the whole thing again, plus more.
There are alot of fors and against both ways so i wouldn't like to say really.

You said in your PRMC diary something along the lines of you 'being treated like a piece of sh!t', I was just wondering if that changes in training or not?
Anyway, good luck for uni and the POC you will eventually have to do again, personally I wouldn't wish a POC on anyone! I hope everything works out for you in the future.
Hahah, yeah the POC is not a fun 3 days out but i might still be able to get away with not having to do it again since i passed the PRMC recently too.
Yes, you are treated like shite, but thats just part of training. I spoke to a corporal who was a real bastard during working hours but a good bloke at other times. Its a weird experience, one minute you are being treated like dirt and the next you are having a good laugh with them. Same goes with the civilian staff; some seem to have a chip on their shoulder but others are some of the nicest people you can meet - i mean that too.
I found the PTI's like that. In the gym they were awful lol, out of the gym they were genuinley interested in the welfare of the troop, giving us tips etc. Same goes for the Drill Instructors.

Yeah cheers, I thought they would be like that, I presume it gets better as training goes on.
On my PRMC they were/would be sound as a pound when they were on their own with us, but when they got together is was a case of who could f**k with us the most.
By the way your admin notes are top notch (or hoofing as I will have to learn to say!) and they will be very helpful when I go out to buy all my raz-ma-taz
