Sounds like the brass are taking this seriously, if true. If these sort of thiings are not sorted out then one thing leads to another and we end up with another Deepcut :(

Beans Means Bootnecks

Post by TheWedge »

My mum called me up after she read this story, I had already read it and she said was I worried about it, I said don't be silly.....I like baked beans!

Horseplay like this does not put me off joining the corps, I am sure enemy interrogators would make prisoners do much worse things. Whats a "cock and bollocks" baked bean meal between bootnecks eh! lol

Lads that stuff is meant to be in the marines, its what the more experianced marines do to the recruits for a laugh, its builds up the recruits nature. The best book on the backstage life of a marine is called 'Amongst the Marines' The Untold Story by Steven Preece, he goes from being a beaten up recruit into a hardcore nutter. Its what the marines are made off! It would really f*^k me up having to do that but i can see the funny side of it, and besides, its either that or a beating, just pretend its a new heinz lollypop lol.

The press will always get this kind of thing, but what the hell do you expect, your training guys to kill eachother, to be nasty and hardcore, bullying is going to happen, it happens in schools, at civi jobs and on the street, its going to happen in the militry as well so they might as well not see it as such a unbelieveable act!!!

Its life!

Its all good having a laugh at eachothers expense to help build up a few bonds and to act as a bit of an initiation test, but its going to be a cold day in hell when some drunk attempts to force me to lick beans from some other blokes knackers. Corpral in the marines or otherwise.

Im not gay, i am secure with my sexuality - im just not gay

Oh and i dont like beans either!

I agree.

All the other stuff in the Marines that has been blown out of proportion: naked roll mat fighting, being pelted with eggs whilst naked - fair enough looks like it could be fun.

But this is something I would not be up for.
