Provisional Date

Post by Alex Himself »

Hi there, havent posted on here for a while but still check on it now and then.

Anyway, i was given my provisional start date for Halton for 30th November '05, which i was told about 3 months ago.

Is anyone else awating to start their basic training this date, or any other for that matter.

Also is this date likely to change? Im quite happy in my current job so wouldnt be too upset if they were to change it for any reason?

Cheers

I got a provisional date for Halton on November 30th. Then a few weeks ago it got moved forward to October 19th because someone dropped out. The way I understand it, your date probably won't get pushed back, but might get moved forward. And even if it gets moved forward, you don't have to accept it.

mine never got moved mate, they said i would get confermation 8 wks before my date and the final interview 6 wks before which i thought was a bit backwards. anyways, i never got confirmation just my interview and was given a formal offer after that (6 wks before Halton)

Just getting my kit list together now, thank god im taking my car down as a mobile storage device lol it might be a nightmare on train, specially if you have to travel some distance like me.

anyways, good luck man.

Be aware if you take your car, depending on your flight staff you may not be able to get at it apart from weekends when leave is granted.
