A Soldiers Pocketbook - help needed

Post by Smiler.wales »

Given that Im off to Iraq (its now a definite) I thought it may be handy to take my copy of the soldiers pocket book with me, unfortunatly I made the mistake of lending it to a recruit who has since being rtud on his BTC has failed to turn up (and before you say it I know I know I shouldnt have lent it but what can I say I try to help recruits when I can)

Anyhow trying to buy it again on the web and the price is about £6.75 but all the websites end up ordering through Amazon who charge £4.79 for delivery (thieving B8sstards) and I refuse to pay nearly the price of the book for delivery when the book is pretty small and could be delivered for much less.

Anyhow my question is this do you know where I could order it from at a reasonable price without getting shafted by amazon for the price

Its a top book it contains virtually everything that a soldier could need and covers NBC,WHT,Signals,Camoflage ,Map reading etc etc

and its a pocket sized book so its easy to carry - personally I keep mine for reference purposes but it can be VERY useful for recruits (whom I lent my original copy to - will i never learn) as it covers everything they will be learning and more

Would this be a good thing to pick up before one started basic training?

You can give Military Pocket Books a call on 01964 542878. They charge £6.75 per book and 85p for P&P (£7.50 total)

£6.75 here but £2 for postage or you could order some extra kit for iraq if you need it and include the book in that order

just go to a local book store and give them the ISBN number and they shouldn't charge anything for delivery
