United States Marines prayers are with you.

Post by wrbones »

Many Marine Corps Veterans are thinkin' of your losses and are exchanging numerous emails like the following. We think of you as our brothers. Your loss is our own.

I would like all to take a moment tonight
while you are with your
family's. To take
one moment and say a prayer
for our fallen Marines &
British Royal Marines
who have givin
there life, to protect
our way of life.

God Speed To Our
Troops

Semper Fidelis

So the battle for the Flag this day was won,
by a loyal veteran with a single gun.
Who for one last time, had to show to some,
That these colors will never, never run.

It is the veteran, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the veteran, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the veteran, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the veteran, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the veteran, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the veteran, not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the veteran, who salutes the Flag,
who serves under the Flag,
whose coffin is draped by the Flag.

Condolences to our Royal Marine Brothers.

Post by Beirutvet83 »

Just wanted to offer my condolences to our Royal Marine Brothers across the big pond. Heartfelt prayers going out to our lost Brethren and their families on this regrettable occasion. Thanks for standing with us Marines, this was a job that needed doing.

Leroy,

El Prez would have us believe his will be a benevolent dictatorship, but some of us feel a little uneasy about it. You may have to have a quiet word with that nice Mr Bush in case we have to put this budding dictatorship on his list after that not so nice Mr Hussain has been disposed of.
