About a million and a half questions

Post by _mat »

I've been messin' around far too long - was gonna join marines, then the paras, then got my house reposessed, joined TA for the extra money, people keep tellin me i should be a para. i wanna be a marine.

and i'm damn well gonna be :D

nah i just thought i'd introduce myself here. i trained with 4 para for a bit (TA) then went to royal artillery (TA). I'm currently waiting to see if I'm gonna get a chance to do the gulf but if not, i'm planning to join Royal as soon as possible. If I do get called, it'll have to wait until I get back.

Was just wonderin a couple of things which have probably been asked a million times but nevertheless....

1. why royal and not the paras/other units?
2. what are you reasons for wanting to join? for example, what turns you on about it
3. how do you motivate yourself to get out and do fitness every day?

and one for everyone who's been there, done that:

are they fans of stress positions at CTC? (never could really see the point in 'em :-? )

alright, tha's me done. ohh, except - look at MY profile pics (all 25 of 'em  loz  )

mat.

Ok...So WHO tells you you should be a para? Anyone that actually knows what theyre talking about? or 'some bloke in the pub'?

'i trained with 4 para for a bit (TA) then went to royal artillery (TA).' You dont seem to stick at things very long...do you have the dedication or the attention span to last 30 weeks or do you get bored quickly?

Not having a pop, just wondered....oh yeah and you look very young...

I'm too weakened by the sight of yet another shaven headed, pimply yoof of indeterminate orientation to throw brickbats of incredulity and scorn. Apart from that he looks a tad precious! Stick with the Paras, they do crochet on long flights. 8)

We all know Parry was born a '20 something' and Imediately signed for the Marines before the placenta had been removed, he was one of the many super Soldats of yester-year who were able to bend Iron with their bare hands and were fed on a diet of rusty nails & kittens.

Parry was 'ard before the days of WWF superstars and could be reguarly seen at British wrestling events calling 'Giant Haystacks' a good for nuthin Pie eater.
