You also have the ability to completly misjudge distance ,give the lads 2 minutes to get round an object that would take that Jamacan sprinter at least 10 minutes to do then get all upset when no-one comes in anywhere near the 2 minutes and claim everyone is loafing then give them 1 minute 45 to do the same run...
PTI course passouts are good to watch like, all that club swinging and rope climbing!

Do they still dress like that?

i know that you have to do each commando test twice excluding the 30miler due to admin. Bottom field pass out and gym pass out twice , not sure in what time span though. Aswel as a shit load of phys (funny old thing). Was speaking to a PTI on the way up the line years ago!

Outstanding
The PTI Branch, I thought, were always outstanding. They are a breed apart. Doc is right about the "front support position, place." Those words still ring in my ears today, same as "On your spots, cover." Running on the spot, literally on the red spots on the floor. Same as on the botton field, with the 30 foot ropes, "To the top, climb."
On the speed marches, calling out the pace: One up, Two up, Three Up, Four!!
Does anyone remember I.M.F.?
I remember the day I passed out, my PTI was a great guy called Roy Simms. I had the utmost respect for him. My father patted him on the back and looked a little startled as he felt a big lump there. What's that?" He asked, concerned. To which Roy proudly replied. "MUSCLE!!"
It was funny, but that's the PTIs for you.
Cheers
