QUEBEC -- Two brothers recently back from serving with the Canadian Forces in Afghanistan were killed yesterday in a car accident near Quebec City. Police say Jonathan and Eric Leduc crashed into a ditch when their car lost a wheel.

Eric Leduc, 25, returned in the spring from Afghanistan. He drove an armoured vehicle while serving there. Jonathan, 22, served a nine-month tour of duty with the infantry in 2007. Police say speed was a factor in the accident.
What a senseless tragedy, my condolences to this poor family. I'm assuming they were Royal 22nd, Anglo-Saxon?
"Poor Ike, it won't be a bit like the Army. He'll find it very frustrating. He'll sit here and he'll say, 'Do this! Do that!' And nothing will happen."

Jonothan was infantry ("Vandoos") and Eric as armoured reserve (12 RBC). Seems that they were speeding and lost a tire in a construction zone on Highway 40 outside Quebec city.

Tragic for the family!!

Dormez bien, boys!
