Coffee in the land of the free is akin to dirty dish water in terms of real coffee. It`s like comparing piss to Guinness. Coffee has to a)taste good, and b) have cafeine in it. Cawfee does neither
Go Italian mate.
UK coffee is only marginally better than the piss served in the good ole you ess of ay

I would strongly disagree...The variety and quality of coffee varies so greatly in the USA, it is very hard to stereotype it like that. It is not really hard to find good coffee, even in a greasy spoon.harry hackedoff wrote:Coffee in the land of the free is akin to dirty dish water in terms of real coffee. I read somewhere why all you blokes ( now u have me talking funny ! LOL ) drink tea. Because all your ancestors frequented the first coffe houses and the brothels up stairs, and the wives got pissed, and coffee was banned !!
Is that true ? Great story.
I only like green tea and the iced tea that we have. Just putting a regular old tea bag in a cup just doesn't do it fo me.

yes, they are just down south...but it is grown all over the world..supposed to have started in Ethiopia, I think. I had some of the $ 13 a lb. brew in Hawaii, it was good, but didn't seem worth the money. I did get a "Hula Bean" T-shirt and mug from the store I was in though.
They both have the young lady on them.

Geez ..I just looked on their web site and it is $ 39 a lb. I should have bought a bunch and shipped it over...I am sure was like $ 12 in the store !!
No coffee is worth $ 39 a lb....I would buy tequila or rum first. LOL
