I got it from observation. I spent my time in the Middle East right after 1991. I think the heat and denial of water could be the best and cheapest weapon yet.

My view is, I don't care about the Iraqi people, but I don't like paying 3 dollars a gallon for fuel. They are in the way of progress. If they want to fight a war over their faulty theology, fine. But winner take all and I say lets take the oil.

We could have these people on their knees in a week if allowed to do so. The strategy of walking around the streets of Iraq waiting for an insurgent to take a shot at you so you can return fire is stupid. It doesn't work and we know it and keep doing it. Idiots do things like that. They will know their methods will end in failure, yet will go about it as usual anyway. I'm glad you take pride in being an idiot with a fancy label.

Had we fought WW2 like this you'd all be speaking German and we in the US would be in a cold war with Germany with a dipshit president saying "Mr. Chancelor bring down that wall".

Armies are not cops, they are killers. Cops do not have artillery, aircraft with 2000lb bombs and nuclear submarines. It is time we use our might to end conflicts now. I don't care about democracy, the Iraqi people or human rights more than I care about my countrymen in harms way or yours who are along side us.

Force them into the cities in the summer, turn off the power and water and let them decide how they want to end this war. Send them an artillery barrage to keep the pressure up. How do you think we beat the Japs? Through serious destruction of life and property.

Look at what we did to you English in the 1700's. We did the same thing to you what the insurgents are doing. We picked the ground, we picked the battles, we fought on our terms and you beat us in nearly every battle, but we killed enough of you to the point your people didn't think it was worth it. We endured, we lived amongst the people, hid amongst them and endured. We counted your ships and waited for you to come ashore.
It is good to see you have learned as little as we have. Had you raised towns, stole property, burned fields before winter harvesting could be done, killed livestock and been more agressive you might of ended up with 50 colonies

We and I will say we because my ancestors were part of this, we brought down the British Empire in our hemisphere through pirating, marquee and reprisal and insurgency.

Why are soldiers not allowed to do what needs to be done? The Germans were devistated after WW2, and then we starved one million of them. Ike did that until you British forced him to feed them, but over 300,000 in Keel Haul died as a result before you made him give the Swiss aid to them. Ike is an American and global hero. Koffi Annan the Raffikki faced baboon of the UN starved one million Iraqi children to death in the oil for food scandal. Isn't he a professional?
Yet we can't raise Ramadi, because it is unprofessional.
So much for thinking you were smarter than Americans. I guess the accent is misleading. You guys and the United States are closing in on the French war score board huh? Sorry Frank, you know I'm of Frog and Herman descent so I can say it.

Have that cuppa and you, Greenie, stay professional will you?

.51, .54 okay. I just bought a 7.62X54, I must have been thinking of that. Ammo for it is hard to get here unless you buy in bulk and expensive, not that you'd know about owning private firearms.

Guns are.............. BAD!!!!!!!!!! :drinking:

Tell me you just did not write this down? Do you know history at all? You do know English is a germanic based language and therefore we were speaking german a longgggggg time before your blood line was made up.

This is simple arrogance, yes we were lacking bodies in WW2 but I am sure that we did well in the battle of britian. I am also sure that as America being a big country and having the almighty 'we are better than you' lark going on, an attack would throw your country for 6. And yes we are ever thankful for the USA's support.

You seem like a decent person however you also seem to be very arrogant, ignorant and uneducated. Get off that fence and stop spouting cr@p.

Harry, sorry again! Now get back on topic and stop trying to look th e'big I am'. Some one please remind me how long our lads are looking to be out in Afghan? I haven't really been following this, still stuck on the Iraq thing.

I have a few mates about to be geared up and sent out to Afghan in August ( I think), they ae bricking it. In an OPSEC nice way, could some one please update us with a brief situ on here very now and then for them to read? Would that be ok?

I am highly educated actually, just busy.

I think the US was stupid for ever getting involved into Europes wars. Jefferson warned us not to. Not that I wish bad on the UK, but I don't think American blood is worth Europe.

Stay safe geeza.
Greenronnie has only just got out here  Been living it up back in the UK...jammy b*stard :P

As for all the rest of the blokes, yes they do need to be congratulated so far. Everyone is putting in so much time on this operatation and things are going smoothly so far.

3 Para has been very busy, not only taking on the taliban which hasnt happened succesfully for many many years but also carrying out rescue missions and hearts and minds operations.

All the 3 para lads are ready for anything and all are doing an excellent job out here. Especially the ally 3 para sigs 8)

As for this "contact" issue, its a term we use over the radio so that people dont take up air time when there is a firefight going on. Its a universal word that means, stay the fark off the net, someones in trouble. And whitey, the US also use the phrase TIC, Troops In Contact. So balls to your sweet tea and homosexuality theory. Also about your nation helping us...look at the situation now. You have the British army running your war in the south of afghanistan, and in the south of Iraq and without us the US body count would be a hell of alot larger than it already is...so i say zip it!

Anyway, back to "the suck".

Our war? I'm sorry if you think I was implying that "we" saved your ass in WW1 and 2 and you should be grateful. I wasn't.

It wasn't because we loved you British, it was business, it was about the money, always is.

Rebuilding Europe made us more cash than rebuilding England. WW1 had it been my way, I'd sided with the Germans, most Americans did actually, but you know how American democracy works.

WW2, who cares who won? You all became socialists anyway so a bunch of guys died for nothing obviously.

I'm very aware of the terms used in the "American" military. I spent 10 years in the pig f@#k. The political correctness was just too much. So I got out and went to school, got a desk job and in America I can and do own the same rifles I used in the military, and I've never looked back except to laugh at the forces as they step on their dicks constantly and wonder why.

I was there during the transition. Vietnam veterans who knew about fighting, GW! guys who proved America could win when allowed to were all forced out by 1996. And in marched the incompetent, the legions of women and the gays. And all into posistions they had no business in. The gays were actually just a psychological offensive by the MIC for transformation. Most of the queers turned out to be decent troops actually. But in context here is a military that was force fed anti-communist propaganda, anti-gay ideals and told women were not equal in combat over night being told to embrace the gays and shut up and promote women at all costs and make them succeed. This was a disaster. They wanted it like that though.

I'm very smart, too smart for my own good. Water, take it away and the enemy will go away. And in the desert this is easy.

Afgahnistan doesn't do anything for me. We have enough natural gas in the USA. Osama Bin Laden is in Pakistan, not Afgahnistan anyway. Total waste of time imo.

I don't even believe in him anymore, he's a Santa Clause. In one video he wears jewelry, the next none, then he is left handed, but writing with the right hand.

9/11 sure was convenient here though for the control freaks. We have a model police state now. CCTV on every traffic light, reporters jailed, politicians charged with crimes, yet allowed to investigate themselves.
Free trade legislation tacked onto every anti=terror bill they pass.
Domestic spying, secret prisons, soldiers in New Orleans and our southern border wide open and terrorists, if they truely exist know this. We have the militia on the border though. God bless the Militia, but they can't do it all.

I wish I was a professional soldier again

I hope winning the hearts and minds works out, we tried that in Vietnam you know, and in Iraq. How did Vietnam turn out again? Winning the hearts and Minds of Nazi's might have worked better than Dresdening them or Sovieting them.?

Have a good time contacting the ragheads, if you get a chance bury some of those AK sporting Jawas.

The link is one thing, I did read it but you sound like a facist.

May I ask you to start another thread with your views upon this please? You're mucking the thunder up of our lads who are working their behinds off in the desert.

On another note, good luck again and I know your all be doing a fab job!

Greenronnie, I want a postcard from you!!!

I know we moan about the Sun a bit, but I have to say their coverage of the lads in Helmand is pretty good. Lots of stories of bravery, quick-thinking etc, and what's also good is that the boys are well aware of the Taliban's cowardly tactic of using women, children etc and are exercising good judgement when it comes down to a firefight. Makes a change from the usual thuggish image of the Paras that's portrayed so readily. Now we can see how good they really are.

01, how long is the deployment? However long it is, stay stafe and look after yourself.

BM

We are here for 6 months and then hand over to Cdo Bde to hopfully carry on our good work. Im sure they will.

Things here are busy as usual. Good thing about working in the ops room is that i get to know everything thats happening, who is out on the ground, what they are doing, what happens when they get into the shit and how the Orriffisers at this end deal with problems as they arise. Its really interesting actually.

anyway off to some sh*thole place today for 2 weeks...should be fun. Body armour plates are going in...i hear they fire mortars at you in the place im going ... MEGA! :o

Catch y'all later 8)

How come if some new teenager to the site post a soft comment or asks a question ask many times before he's insulted and given a warning by the Mods yet this Whitey seems to be able to say whatever he wants without anybody even calling him on it??

Whitey there's a word for the tactics you suggest for Iraq it's called GENOCIDE now if you think that thats perfectly acceptable because you don't like paying $3 a gallon for your petrol then your sick I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot and someone was proposing this as a tactic against the American population you wouldn't be so enthusiastic about it!!

Get a grip and go somewhere else to chat your rubbish and leave this topic to get back to what it was originally intended for.

You think the Chinese wouldn't? Or most anyone else? I would be enthusiastic to do them in as painfully and barbaric as possible as my ancestors did to yours and any other invader we ever faced. I'd adopt that towards any invader, no matter how nice they were. It is just how it works.

Could be a fair comment but here's a couple things: first do not make generalized statements on mods' attitudes, that would be erroneous. Second, we're talking about people on different points of the curve.
Some have gotten the T-shirt and tattoos, others haven't yet begun.
Does this mean one is more deserving of respect than the other?
My personal stance is frankly yes.
Now, whitey and I have locked horns on a few topics, which I recommend you read, because they have been entertaining and I think informative.

You may well find his opinions offensive. Rebuke them. Engage. Reason and argue, but please don't start by calling the cops as in the above quote.

But to answer your query, and again for myself alone, some teenagers ask inane questions. They show they have not done an iota of research, expect basic information to be regurgitated for their consumption, and best of all have the gall to talk back when told to use the computer they're using for more research.
While I believe in big boys rule, others do not, and that's tempered my approach.
Now, I decided to respond to you publicly because the question above was made publicly.

Shall we return to the thread?
