New Boy (Ex RUC)

Post by Johnny5 »

Last night I finally got round to signing up with the site, however in my eagerness I signed up with the joining and fitness forum, and seeing as I am not planning on joining the forces and I am defiantly not fit I thought I would be more at home here.
I posted an introduction on the other fourm and to save time I have cut and paste it below, thanks for having me.

Just a little introduction, the name as the username suggests is Johnny and it is nice to finally be a member of this site and not just a reader of it. Idleness always got the better of me as it has taken me a long time to finally sign up. I have read so many forms I feel like I know some of you already.
I feel it is only good manners to provide a small bit of background on myself, When I was a young fit nineteen year old in 1974 I joined the Royal Ulster Constabulary and served until June of 2000 (twenty six years service) over the years I have been stationed all over the province and seen my fair share of heartache. I have since retired and am enjoying my days in comfortable chairs and on a golf course on Sunday mornings.

Flo, it has been said that we tend to have more balls than the male generation!

Do coppers carry a set of pink fluffy handcuffs? Thats the important question

If you feel you can't air this in public, I am sure that Flo and me wouldn't mind a sneaky PM!

Welcome aboard Johnny5.

I hope that you get many a year from your pension. You deserve it.

Get as much out of it as you can !!!!

Watch out for the RMs about here. They can be a strange lot.

Think they can drink too.

You don’t have to tell me they are a strange lot, I have seen first hand, Taunting them with maroon was always a good pass time I found. Must be something to do with all that water they gulp down when splashing about in the sea. Thanks for the further welcomes, I am just trying to find my feet on here and see where I can chip in.
Harry Pm sent your way.
As for the Bushmills, do you even have to ask. :D
