Week 13 from Dalo.

Hi everyone, ive not been on here in a while, ive just been getting on with things. Ive not had a good few weeks, my gran had went into hospital and got given seven days to live, and unfourtunetly she past away on the 4th of May. I was very close to her and have been finding it hard to concentrate, Also i got told that if i went to the funeral i would get backtrooped because i would miss the introduction to comms and dunker drills etc. This was very hard to deal with but my family talked to me and let me realise that she wouldnt want me to get backtrooped over it. The funeral was today and i hope all went well. Im starting bottom field tommorow and im just trying to get prepared for running man and baptist run over this next week or so. Well im off, i will be on again soon

Good effort Lofty....Life goes on I`m afraid.
I`m sure that your Gran would have been well threaders with you if you`d have been backtrooped.
All you need to do now is crack the rest of training, earn the lid and wear it knowing that you have really earned it.

Si's comments are spot on Dalo. Hack it, get the Lid and then say to yourself This is for me Gran as well.

She will be up there looking down at you thinking Thats My GRANDSON!

Well done Dalo, thoughts with you and the family over your loss, but i think you made the best choice, and lets face it you aint going to fail now, are you!!! :wink:

Thank you all for those great replies, they have really made me happy :D. Well ive got my admin squared away for tonight, i just need to get rid of the bottom field blues :( lol. Its a double period tommorow and im hanging out, well thats recruit training :lol:.

I know it can be hard but this is your life and your Gran would want you to go ahead. You can make your peace with her afterwards, she’ll respect that too, Get your green lid for her!!!

Remember you do have a Padre and no one will look down on you for sneaking off to see him.
