Re: pay rate while in basic training
New Entrant Rate is £13,644 during training. These rates of pay apply until 31 March 2011.
You'll be allowed to look at small chunks of it during training..... (Long ago, when dinosaurs roamed, we used to have Pay Parades where you got issued your pocket money (provided you managed to march up and salute to the satisfaction of the NCOs) ) You only got small amounts so you didn't spend it all on pop and sweets!
You were of course permitted (encouraged) to spend as much of your hard earned cash as possible on boot polish, starch, dusters, duraglit, wash powder etc etc etc..........

Your money goes into your account as it would in any normal job
