Prepare yourself to be backsquadded mate, time off is a sin in Phase one as there is not enough time to teach as there is. You might get two/three days off but that will be it.

But hey the way the Army is nowadays I could be wrong and you will get 9 months off

Two friends of mine in RM training recently got 3 weeks off when their children were born.
And no, they're not a couple!

That RAF Regt bloke off Airforce Afghanistan got a whole month off during an Operational Tour cause his wife had a baby so who know's what you're entitled to now with the new paternity laws.

Yes you may get a month off but you need to be aware of all the training you are going to miss whilst away.
The only solution will be back squadding.
You now have to balance your personal life with your Army life, get used to it.
I personally would opt for taking two days off then get back to it. harsh I know but I have been in your situation.

It would be best to get on with my training in reallity, Some things in life have to be sacrificed in order to get where you want to be in life.

I remember my granddad was murdered. To be fair it was not training but at battalion up North.

Anyway the CSM says sorry ****** but these things happen. The shi*.
No leave nothing. So I go back to my room start packing and let the section commander know I am going home and they can do what they want when I return

Anyway about 3 hours later I got a message to report for my transport docs. Never knew what was said and it could have just been a change of heart by the CSM.
