Hi

Just to let you know, as far as I can tell, you can withdraw from training during a certain time period at the start of phase one, without having to 'buy yourself out'.

I believe you have to give a certain amount of notice, and that it involves writing a letter to your CO with your reasons, followed by various meetings and interviews designed to see if you really do what to leave or not, and then you're out.

That said, its probably best to ask the people at the AFCO what the crack is so you can get it from them.

Correct Cardsharp but every one knows it, after 6weeks you have 9weeks of get out time, but I'm explaining the rules if you want to leave before or after those 9 weeks.

Ah, righto - I misunderstood.

Not long to your intake now! You going to be posting here to let us all know how it goes? I for one will be interested on how you find the first week or two, just that 'getting settled' period is the part I'm most concerned about - after I get in there I'm expecting I'll be ok.

Either way, best of luck.

I watched a programme about a soldier joining the army and had no intent on staying anyway he asked to leave just after he passed out from training he gave a bull reason saying his girlfreind was having a baby.

Anyway it worked! :o
