What is the reason for signing the oath of allegiance (sorry about spelling) and also I am a junior entry so i won't be going to Harrogate until september if i get in. Does that mean i will just have to wait about 6 months until my intake or will they call me in for updates and meetings or even recieve letter? Thanks people

Basically shows that you will do when told, who you will do it for and why you will do it. it's a must, i think Police have to pledge aswell

Yes it means when the army say do it, it will be done without question or hesitation, as some one said you receive your number as well, meaning your officially a soldier (thou for me i'd call my self a solder after p1)
