Grenade test isn't difficult. You'll learn some details on the live and dummy grenade then be tested either later that day or the next day.

Hi Zoe, Im going for military engineer communications with the Royal Engineers.
Only 3 days to go before selection! :-?

the granade test is on the L2A2 high explosive as far as I know, and its easy to look up on google if you fancy doing a bit of prep...! I just hope they dont decide to change it. :wink:

It may be different for the different ADSC, but we never had our test on that 'grenade', it was the L109 HE at Litchfield. It really isn't that bad, so don't worry about looking stuff up. It's just to see if you can hold basic info for lest than 12 hours! Like what colour it is for example... :wink:

The test is quite hard, and obviously depends on what trade you want to do as to what score you need. Would revise fractions, algebra and that sort of thing, as well as the basic stuff! :D

You going for the Marines and the Para's mate? (seen some of your posts on RM Joining & Training? You must be mad!)

There is a long, long thread on the Para's Joining & Training board:

Nothing too bad, think it is a pass fail, if your not upto standard, no maroon machine! :o

Just clear up the mixed or not mixed discussion;

At Glencorse it is strickly NOT mixed. No execptions.

I found this out yesterday when I turned up at the meeting place and was told that I had been sent on the wrong date and they were expecting me to be a bloke. hahahah

and they werent able to make an exception.

so Im now booked on the 23rd July at glencorse.
