Please Support: In Memory of Sergeant Major Michael Mark Williams.

Image

Earlier this year you may recall watching the news or reading in the media about the sad loss off two members of 2 Para.
One member we would like to talk about is Sergeant Major Michael ‘Mark’ Williams.
viewtopic.php?p=208917
Michael was based at Colchester Barracks with 2 Para and a family spokesperson has made us aware about a great cause, a Christmas song that has been released in Michael’s memory.

A friend of the family (Peter Edwards and a professional singer) has recorded and released a Christmas song titled ‘If everyday was like Christmas’.
The song is being played on radio stations and being featured on local TV stations in Wales.
The singer (Peter Edwards) and the recording studio (Shabby Rd Recording Studios) have given their free time as Michael was a local man in (Caerphilly) and gave his life for his country and what he believed in.
Garrison Radio & Help for Heroes are also involved in helping this great cause.

Please help by downloading the song:
http://www.intomusic.co.uk/PeterEdwards
From as little as 0.75p, all proceeds will go to Help for Heroes.

Everyone feels that it would be a change to have a Traditional Christmas record played for a good cause.

If anyone else can help with this cause, please get in touch with Military Forums where we can put you in connection with the right person and family spokesperson.

Updates to follow:

Lasting Tribute UK – have updated Michaels Memorial Page:
http://www.lastingtribute.co.uk/tribute ... ms/2842302

Lasting Tribute UK have raised awareness by placing an advert on Google within ‘Sponsored Links’ which displays ‘Help for Heroes’ and ‘Michaels Memorial Page’.

Elaine Pritchard of Lasting Tribute has instructed her PR Company BCS Public Relations - www.bcspr.co.uk at their own cost to work on greater exposure of this great cause.

A statement of support and endorsement from the 1st Minister of Wales Mr Rhodri Morgan has also been announced.
Thus hoping to raise further profile awareness.

Sergeant Major Williams had given most of his working life to the Parachute Regiment; Private Whittaker was just starting his working life. Sergeant Major Williams was a Warrant Officer and part of that very special group of men, the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers of the battalion, who are its glue and its heart, and who lead the engine room of the Sergeants’ Mess
