Wouldn't it be nice if we had some politicians that knew what they were doing and did not smother the country with half baked ideas and massive debts trying to implement these ideas

119. My house hadn't had a burst water pipe whilst I was down at my parents' for Christmas

120. (or) My next door neighbour had noticed it within a week

121. My I'M A SCAMMER SPAMMER!!! ceiling was still where it was supposed to be, instead of deciding to cosy up with the floor

122. I'd actually realised before now that I had no home insurance...

Happy new year...!

Hyper,

Sorry to hear your bad news - especially the insurance! Friends had their garage burn down and damage their conservatory last week but luckily their insurance was OK.

Anyway I hope 2011 is better for you!!!

Gee Hypers,
I'm so sorry to hear your news, but cheer up things will get worse before they get er...worse :P (stole that line from Lily Tomlin)I know a good reputable builder, name of Bob,drives a white van.Do you know him? 8)
Who needs a I'M A SCAMMER SPAMMER!!! anyway?Got a 'phone?Then order in.
Look on the upside,no dishes

Sorry,I'll shut up now.
Have a relatively non-threatening,stress free new year.

It's ok, I wanted a new I'M A SCAMMER SPAMMER!!! anyway, and my mum has said she'll pay for it out of my inheritance, so all the money I'd saved towards it is now paying for the builder to do everything else.
The bathroom ceiling's going to have to come down, and the floor will need replacing, but in general it could have been a lot worse, if it had been a fire I'd be completely screwed, right?

I made a New Year's Resolution over 25 years ago which is the only one I've ever really managed to stick to: Never to make another New Year's Resolution!
