As for needing to practise doing my laces up, I did find the old Boots Combat High to be a bit of a pain in the ar$e when they were really cold and wet on exercise. My sausage fingers always seemed to stop working in the cold and I turned into a two year old that wanted Velcro fastening shoes, coz laces were a bit of a bugger.
Ha ha, fair one!

Been away for a few days, sorry guys, I've got more important things going on in my life than a slagging contest with an ex hat.

Wholley, spot on. I thought it would be better to trade insults in private than on a discussion forum.

Really, sounded like you tried to have a go and failed, bit of reverse psychology me thinks. That said Para’s were never known for their intellect.

I find it amusing you can try and insult people in a private message and that is ok. Bit on the cowardly side for my likings, but not ok to publish it, funny standards and logic.

Anyway lets move on as I am now officially bored and that takes some doing. 8)

Good idea. Now then did anyone see Coronation Street last night. I missed it

I dont know but Tony will probably strangle Maria with them. But I think Carla is on to him so its getting pretty interesting. I wonder what style of boot lacing Norris does. Now that is something worth finding out.

You know the saying "you can never trust a ginger person."
Well you should never trust a person who sports yellow laces or someone who tucks the loose ends in their shoes.

Do you think we have done this joke to its death?

Failed at what? You really are a prat. As for Paras not being known for their intellect, funny how my English is far better than yours.

As for being cowardly, how is that? I just thought everyone else would be bored of a public slagging match. And obviously private messages are meant to be just that, as Wholley has pointed out.

Now waiting out for you to get your last word in...again

That you with more important things going on in your life than a slagging contest with an ex hat.

Classic.

For crying out loud Ronnie you are a Sgt in one of the most respected Platoons in the British Army, Pathfinder. I once watched a program about selection and how many go on to the SAS. It went on to explain how it was considered to be an elite within an elite and even had some symmetry for selection. I currently work with an Ex 2 Para and in the past an Ex Pathfinder at another job.

Yet your can not handle a little banter. Mate if you don’t like receiving it then please don’t dish it out as you are making yourself sound and read like a prat. I half expected you to send me a PM asking for a fight. No disrespect but Para’s seems to always say things like mong and Crap hats and its lame.

As for the English lesson. I already taught you, how easy it is to pull you on your gammon  If I had the inclination, i.e. starting a sentence with And.

What type of gammon and English is

Now waiting out for you

It's a silly game which everyone can play.

Now about these zip up laces you wear, are they waterproof?
As they look a little gay to me.

Not taking sides (as far as I can tell it's two army chaps just being army chaps), but with regards to the PM issue. Just because someone chooses to use the PM facility, there is no guarantee of confidentiality. I have made this clear on an earlier thread. If someone transgresses the bounds of civility by PM they automatically forfeit any confidentiality that might have been expected or implied.

As you did.
Which is why no-one with any brains PM's you anymore.
Now get off your soap box and stop interfering with posts that have nothing to do with you or your incredibly over-rated sense of humor.

Please feel free to PM me with any objections to the above.

As regards "paras having no intellect", I'd suggest going to a little base at Credenhill and finding out where more than 50% of them came from originally.

Wrong pal, I said.

That said Para’s were never known for their intellect.
I stand by that but not what you said I said.

Credenhill

The other 50% come from where. I would take a bet that a majority of them but not all are from other Infantry Regiments and there is my point about crap hats and the other mong comments. If the Para’s were always the best all the time then it would be 100% don’t you think?

I was not commenting over "who is the best" or not, as that has been beaten to death in god knows how many forums.

There are plenty of savvy lads in the para reg. Whether others choose to think differently; that's up to them.
