I find the paranormal side of life interesting.
If any of you lot heard about the investigation at HMS Drake last year, that was set up by me! Yes little old me got the ball rolling, but sadly I couldn't make it.
Any way, before I go any further with this. Who believes, kind of or thinks it is pish?

Here is a post I made on the subject, some years ago:
While waiting my draft to Aden in the 60s I was placed on Fort Cumberland guard for a while, I knew the history of the place, (Napolionic POW camp) but was quite happy with it, that was untill one early morning while on the top ramparts on the seaward side, a stack of large timber bulks were stacked up on the inside wall, as I got parallel the whole BL***dy lot shifted, needless to say this young lad shifted too!
The duty NCO thought I was pulling his P****r, so investigated my report and confirmed that the lot were on the deck, the only explanation that could be made was that the timbers had contracted in the cool of the night, subsequently shifted....but why then and why on my parade! I have an open mind.
With regard to HMS Victory I spent a while on board as a guide and although I had no experiences of paranormal, there were some who would not board during darkness.
The only time I found out what adrenaline was, was during a thunder storm, lightning hit the main mast, travelling the whole length and passing a few feet from me on the gangway desk!!
Aye

"Para" and "normal"
Doc doesn`t just "see" dead people.
When he worked nights in Cardiff morgue, he nearly got engaged to a couple
My name is Jack, diddle iddle iddle um

Over the years I've seen some right Apparitions. Normally around three in the morning when blokes were staggering back from a mega Run Ashore.
Seriously though:
You want to try climbing the Eastney Clock Tower at 0600hrs in the morning to put the flag up. The ghosts stare out of every doorway and every wall! I never saw anything odd but by heck you could feel the past all around you.
Going into the Owd taylors shop in the tower was very wierd. The odd uniform still there waiting for a long left Bootneck to come and pay for his jacket alterations. The Rolls of Medal Ribbon still on the table. As I said a very Weird experience indeed. I felt that at any time the taylors would come bustling though the door and take up from where they had left off all those years ago.
