Looking for Lt. (Roger?) Lane Royal Marines. HMS Zulu 1976

Hi everyone. I'm looking for Lt Lane I owe him an apology and big thanks. I joined HMS Zulu with what they now call personal problems but which then was I was drinking too much and being a prat! I must have been a complete pain in the arse for him but for what ever reason he had some faith in me and gave me some serious responsibility. I responded well got myself back on track,immersed myself in a life at sea and had some of the best times of my life. Now retired, I appreciate that the experience was fundamental to the man that I became and if I can find him I'd like him to know it and say thanks.
I've an idea that he went on to become a much higher rank. Is there another site I should use or is there an officers list? Any help would be much appreciated and thanks
