Dave Beatson HW Mortars

I heard Dave had passed away around 97-98, can anyone confirm that for me?

He was HW Mortars but last I heard at CTC on training teams. Served down South amongst other places.

I'd be grateful if anyone could shed any light on this for me, he was a cracking bloke and stuck his neck out for me on more than one occasion.

unfortunately i can confirm your belief Dave passed away, as a result of lukemia. He was, as you say, a great bloke always laughing at something, a jolly guy you could always rely on.

it truly is a great loss to the Corps and to all who had the pleasure of working with him and knowing him.

No doubt he's loafing about in the big mess in the sky laughing at us all.
