Found this recently.
This is a short note to let you know about a website called modreunited.com, which helps reunite past colleagues. To visit the site go to http://www.modreunited.com
It's not very well subscribed at the moment. But most of you will recognise some of the names that are there.

Steve, there isn't even an area for Bootneck's what sort of site is that then? I guess if I was looking for pals in the RAF Army or Jack it would be usefull because they don't seem to be well represented on the other area's of this board...

Think I'll stick with http://www.Civvie-Street.co.uk ta!

I agree but if you go into it you will find that we ROYAL can swamp it so they have to make a separate bit for us.

Register and ALSO ask for when a new person joins your unit you get an email. Just come home after two days away and found stack of people love me as they were all in my unit.

It does also show/ask when you were in the separate unit so you can see when Fred was in the same time as you but you didn't know as you were on separate patrols etc.

Bulldog,
Look closer, there are dedicated areas for 'Bootie' units. This (Once A Marine) is a great site! But I was just pointing to another area were you might be able to contact 'oppos'.

Another couple of sites "forcesreunited" and somewhere else I forgot to make a proper note of, but was a quite obscure naval type. In both cases I browsed through the message listings and sent a reply to any bootneck search to rebro through this site.

No offence to other sites, but this one is coming along very nicely and we should never miss an opportunity to spread the word.
