SAS - Help finding out about Deceased family member

Post by RJC »

Hi.

Im looking for help or advice. I dont really have the first clue where to look so thought i could maybe get some pointers on here

I had an uncle (Colin) who was in the SAS. He sadly took his own life 10 years ago suffering from PTS i believe.

I would love to be able to find out about what he was involved in and possibly get in contact with other fella's who served with him. Its not a topic i think my family knows much about and not one i like to discuss with them.

He joined the army at 16-17 and would be 43 this year. I know he served in Northern Ireland and also recall seeing pics of him in the black bearskin hat and red jacket as a Scot's Guard i think??

If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated

Regards

Much of the work done at this time would still be restricted, not so much for secrecy but also to protect other members of the team that he served with.
