Helicopter training?

Quick question people, can you be trained as a helicopter pilot within the TA? or is it something reserved for 'full time' due to cost issues etc?

Funnily enough I was reading a TA newspaper in my college today and it had an article in it about them closing down the last TA helicopters. I will check tomorrow for you on the details but I know they used to train TA soldiers in helicopters.

No, TA soldiers have never been trained on helicopters whilst in the TA. The Pilots that served with what was 7 Regiment (V) AAC were all ex-regular pilots who transferred to the TA. 7 Regiment was disbanded earlier this year and reformed at Middle Wallop as the Flying Training Regiment.
