Tattoos

Post by born_hammer »

Hi everyone.

Apologies if this is somewhere else.

Anyway, I have a West Ham United British Bulldog on my right bicep and was wondering if this would prevent me from getting in the TA.
Personally I do not see it as offensive, although it is Fecking ugly :-?

Has anybody else have a british bulldog tattoo, and has no problems?
Any feedback would be appeciated.

Thanks

Got a mate in the anglians (a regular, not a ta solider) who has one(not a west ham one mind) on his bicep and calf. Wasnt a problem for him.

I think you have a problem if the tattoo is on your face, arms etc should be fine.

Depends on the tatt mate. As long as it doesn`t have a big NF under it, you should be fine 8)

I havent got any tattoos, body decoration hmmm....

There are some peeps in my gang who have some very big tatts on their arms no problem. You have to fill in a whole extra bit on your paper work though, on the plus they look well 'ard of course :D

Do not have tats on your Face, Lower Arms or hands. Avoid the Neck also. Tats that can be seen above the uniform line are discouraged (Or were).

In the five years since this was first posted attitudes have changed.Used to be that tatt's should not be visible when saluting.I think no tatt's on fingers and neck still applies and obviously nothing offensive.

You are only looking at joining the TA, also many women have tattoos so you should fit in quite nicely.
