I think your the one talking testicles, if we chose to vote for the BNP for our own political reasons not out of racial hatred i dont think that makes us idiots.
I dont appreciate being told that by you or anyone, like we always say on this forum we enjoy the right to free speech but you my friend are one of those people who should have that privilege taken away for comments like that, none of us support there racist or extremeist remarks we have merely pointed out the current politcal climate and wish to do something about it and voting for the BNP is A (not the only way but A) way to go about it.
Also if you had bothered to research the BNP they arent (recently) all about racism, they are moving a little more with the times and are starting to actually have a political agenda.
Put brain in gear before speaking next time :)

Decorum gentle folk please!

By living in a democracy we still have an 85% say (How the other 15% was taken away I shall never know!), everyone to their own views, surely we can debate this subject in a level headed way.

I've said this before, my own views are slightly right of centre and at the mo there is not one of the three major parties that I WANT to vote for, but to exercise my right to vote I believe I may have found the party that is beginning to appeal to me, which is the BNP, I too am concerned about the (previous) racial overtones of the BNP but it is great when the like of Rourkes comes in to explain things as a member.

I'm not playing on the Immigration issue but I, like many I know realise this is a huge problem to the UK as well as elsewhere, my main concern at the moment is being integrated into Europe without me having a say on it, the only people prepared to stand and be counted is the BNP. There are many many other outstanding issues but those above will do for starters.

At the age of 64, I've seen life through rose coloured spectacles and without, I have a modicum of nous about me and can make my own mind up who to vote for, but like bible punchers I don't need to be preached to by the already converted.

Your views are yours only, mine is mine only! (These views are not intended to be aimed at any one person or organisation on this forum board, let everyone have THEIR say in a democratic way)

In recent elections in Switzerland, a far right party (or so defined) got 28% of the votes, a fairly strong showing. In the last French presidential elections, Le Pen's Front National did very well in the primaries (can't remember the numbers), but it did send a message.
I don't know much at all about the BNP, and so cannot comment beyond offering that at least it is an alternative.
There is no such realistic alternative in the US, none.
As you well know, looking at France, the primaries results had a positive impact: they helped kick out the socialist prime minister (he was inept. His party affiliation has nothing to do with it). Typically, in France and elsewhere, when voters aren't satisfied with the top leadership, they vote for the opposition to check them: a conservative Prime Minister for a progressive president and vice versa, a Republican president with a Democratic Congress and vice versa.
But it doesn't quite work.

I realize that the opinions on this site may not represent a majority of opinion in the UK, but it does seem clear that the nature of immigration is having for the most part a destructive effect on the British economy and society.
The same could be said about certain trade policies I'm sure.
Do I mean the UK should close its borders and become isolationist? That would not be realistic, and possibly even more destructive.
I don't think that is what the BNP is suggesting either.
Should they be voted to power? Rorkes makes the point they aren't ready, a refreshingly honest statement I think. But they could also be used to jar the political class into reassessing their stance.

In the US, the head of Homeland Security (Tom Ridge) recently stated that in order to come to grips with our immigration problem, we should provide illegal aliens with some legal status and then get serious about what our immigration policy from there.
At the top, considering the alternatives or lack thereof, I think Bush should get re-elected. The country is so dangerously polarized, it needs another four years to dispel the illusion we have a two party system.
But back to you in the UK: what do you believe immigration should be like, realistically?

Personally if someone has a genuine reason to escape persecution of any colour or creed I feel there is an international duty to cater for these people. What I cannot stand is economic migrants and layabouts jumping on the gravy train. I believe you have a very similar if not even more serious problem Stateside with Mexicans, Puerto Ricans etc, I don't know the implications there, if it is crowding you guys out or draining your welfare state, but it is in this highly populated country called the UK.

Agreed. As well, the most publicized instances of abuse of the system tell of immigrants claiming fictitious offspring to pad the welfare checks.
Are they the majority? Not necessarily, I just don't know for a fact. But it takes a relatively small number to create a very real drain on the economy. Some drive high-end vehicles and own homes under different names.
The problem is also most evident in those states which 'drive' the national economy, such as California. We also have a huge problem with 'worker's compensation', which provides for legal residents and citizens who get hurt on the job and claim disability. The abuse is such that investigating those claims is an industry in itself. This is not an immigration problem but it compounds it as it swells the ranks of those who neither work nor contribute.

So yes, the problem is very similar.

Use your brains guys!
Don't you call me a idiot Manc, if you looked back throughout this topic I think you will find no rascit comments from any of us who say we will vote BNP. :o Manc you seem to know nothing about the BNP, I'm not a big fan of them my self but I feel voting for them will make the other parties sit up and take note. Your just shouting your mouth off, think before you type next time.

And I have no problem with you shouting your mouth off, we do live in a democracy, so don't it upset when some people have different views from your own.

British National Party

'Supporters of the BNP are the idiots who go starting fights at the England away games.'

That's a very broad statement, we now have over 13,500 members, and many thousands across Britain voted for the British National Party in May this year.

Myself, I am a qualified IT tutor, Networking, PC Repair, Web Design and studying with the OU to get a degree.

Many of our other members are similarly qualified, as we come from all walks of life.

Many of our members are ex servicemen, and some present in my own BNP jurasdiction are in the Services.

I speak to many Ex Service OAPs that are unhappy with the way the country has turned out, not only with Immigration, which when they are established in number, change our laws to suit their cultures, but having fought against the Germans, dont want to see their country being taken over by Europe.

Many of them are now joining the BNP, and they get very angry that they get no help with council tax, because they have some savings, and many cant even afford TV, whilst on the other hand asylum seekers are given a brand new 20'' TV in every living room, they get full cental heating, windows cleaned every 12 weeks, electricity, gas and telephone bills all picked up in the end by us, the tax payers. Not counting the additional burden on the NHS, and for some reason we have to send some of our patients to France for treatment.

Also many live on estates, where some are burdened with constant crime, stabbings, drug dealing, muggings, and they are afraid to go out, so instead of sending you off to distant lands, we could do with you here, patrolling these areas so our pensioners can sleep without fear.

We now have about 18 Councillors, and you will get a chance to vote for us next year in the Regional MEP elections.

Whilst other councillors are busy taking down the British flag and replacing it with the EU's flag, we proudly use the Union Jack whenever we can.

The present undemocratic society, doesnt like us getting any publicity, using what they call a No Platform policy, thus trying to shut up the voice of the indigenous British people who like the freedom to send their kids to school with a bag of bacon crisps, without fear of it being taken away because it offends an ethnic.

There is talk of the Police having a member of the Black Police Association present to check for so called 'racists', wonder when the Armed Forces will be subject to similar rules?

Yet they get upset when a policeman is a member of the BNP, and suddenly they are Racist no longer regarded as being able to do a job they have been in for some time properly? All because they want Britain to maintain a British culture. While ethnics claim we need them to enrich our culture?

The BNP is open to membership people of European White origin, other groups also have their own similar rules.

'Knowing that you can get blonde dye for your hair.Ive already got blue eyes, the only problem is my nose may be a bit to big.'

This is rather amusing as my fathers parents were Jewish, yet I am entrusted with over 300 BNP members and supporters as a BNP Organiser! I have brown hair and eyes, and i dont reach for the bleach bottle.

Our party has more than one policy, we are not immigration only, we fight for our environment, our industries, Fishing etc, crimen and many others, just take a look at www.bnp.org .uk at our policies, and the regional report pages which highlight many of the issues we as groups across the country are fighting for in our fight to remain British.

Our party is this countries last hope of retaining Britain for the British and its rich culture you are fighting to protect.

If Britain falls where can white British people go? to call a home, where they will share the same culture.

When the British National Party ends up in no 10, we will give a better deal to our people, because they deserve it.

Perhaps the so called 'silent minority' might just indeed become the 'vociferous majority' where someones voice needs to be heard !

With those numbers the BNP is set to remain a minor diversion.

The problem it seems to have isn't with the 'respectable' people who feel a need to vote for them. It's that many of it's leadership/figureheads have 'dubious' backgrounds, to say the least. Criminal records, etc..

But its ok to have Sinn Fein MPs in Parliament who dont swear allegiance to the Queen, but its dodgy to support a Party trying to stay British?

I dont think the B.N.P. would get in power.
I would vote B.N.P so as to show the government my displeasure.

A thought.

If the B.N.P. did win.
What would be the polices of oppositions (Con,Lab,Lib)
Would anybody vote for the opposition (con,Lab,Lib)with such polices.
I used to be in the SASS (Saturday and Sunday Soldier)
