medical discharge

Post by djblueeyes »

hi hoping somebody can help me. my son joined the army (infantry)in may 2016. he got to week 14 in his training(26 weeks total) and got an injury. since september 2016 to now he has been in rehab.the mri scan he had in september showed he had ruptured ligaments on left side of foot and torn tendons on right side of the same foot. so with these being damaged his ankle joints were not working right.he can have a couple of good days in the gym then next hs foot will hurt him and have a c*** couple of days.they saying now that its his body telling his brain that his foot is not healed and that he has got to try get his body to tell his brain (or his brain got tell his body)that his foot is ok. they have told him because he hasnt progressed much he will have to be medically discharged. they have told him to sort his foot out in civvi street then rejoin again in 12 months. can he rejoin if he has been medically discharged. thanks djblueeyes
