Educational Attainment and Experience of Army Children

Post by ysjaff »

York St John University are undertaking a survey project on behalf of the Army Families Federation (AFF).

The survey aims to investigate the attainment and school experience of children with a parent/s in the Army, in comparison to other children. This will be done through four different questionnaires; a primary school year 6 pupil survey, a secondary school year 10 and 11 pupil survey, a parent survey and a teacher survey. We are currently recruiting for the parent survey.

The project will provide valuable information to further enhance the school environment for Army children. It will provide an understanding of the appropriate type and level of support required for pupils with parents in the army.

The study has been approved by the York St. John Ethics committee and adheres to the ethical guidelines specified by the British Psychological Society. All questionnaires will be completely anonymous and confidential. Militaryforums.co.uk have also given their permission for the survey to be posted within this forum.

If you or your partner is in the Army, we would be very grateful if you would spare a few minutes to complete the parent survey by following this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GXMGGYF

Please note: If the link does not work, copy and paste the full address into your web browser including the https:// part.

Thank you for your support with this project.
