i passed selection august 17th 2009, and i got my date of august 8th. middle of last month.
there is a very long waiting list.
if you got a high b or a low b, they still class it as a B grade, so you will have up to 6 months wait for a date, and then the date could be another 6 months, be prepared for a long wait, and definately keep up the fitness.
hope this helped.

you boys need to forget about A's and B's. It's worked out on a points system. The more points you have, the higher up the pecking order you'll be.

Someone who gets a high A, i.e 150 points will get a job sooner than someone with a lower A, i.e 130 points.

We were told that up at Glencorse.

The points system only works within your grade!
If you have a grade A you will go in early, however your points will tell you when in that early stage you will get in.

Congratulations in passing and hopefully you will have a long and fruitful career in the Corps of Royal Engineers. I served 22 years with them and nearly enjoyed every minute of it. Wouldn't have changed it for anything.
