Hey lol im 18 new to all this
and been wanting to join combat medic past 5 years
do my medical last year and go stoped becoz of the vision in my left eye
only thing that fustrates me is i can go and do what every other person does it dont stop me becoz of the vision so why should it bother me in the army!! so disapointed even looking up about laser eye surgery!!

the eye qualities are there to ensure we get the best people we can. an ongoing problem no matter how small could be easily aggrevated during your career meaning we lose a quality soldier before there time. This applies to any small problem.
Look at it this way would you buy a car with a small patch of rust on it ??? No matter how good the rest of it is, your potentially buying into a disaster.
Laser surgery will push you back another 12 months from the moment you have it.
You didnt tell us exactly what the problem is or if you have appealed the decision.
And to top it all off, when you do go back to re apply then your medical and everything else will be our of date and you will have to re do everything.
