Let me ask you this question. Right now at this moment, what are you personally doing to help our injured servicemen ? I would be interested to find out

Dave I'm not so crass as to tell everyone what I do or don't do. However I am not on any mission. I now look out for me and my family while paying my fair share of taxes.

Alternative or supplementary treatment is fine. In fact an open mind is positively to be encouraged. Exceptions to a general rule are not however evidence in support of your views and proof the current medical treatment is wrong.

Without any disrespect, the fact that you are an orthopaedic surgeon means nothing to me.

Your reply was not very respectful to the Doctor was it? The truth is your handful of supposed success stories, could well mean nothing to most people. Both in and out of the medical field.

I'm assuming of course that you are a surgeon and not a 17 year old kid still living with his mum.

If you are serious about professionals replying to your posts you may well have to work on your debating skills mate.

I can go on the internet and find thousands of so called cures. In the Express yesterday I found a promotion selling a copper insole which will help all sorts of arches and pains. In fact there was a couple of old people singing its merits on how it had helped them.

At my current job, I regularly have fresh University graduates with chemical degrees come onto my plant. They mean well but they are dangerous because nearly everything they know is from books and theory.

I’ll respond to each one of your comments.

Have put some x-rays on the Miscellaneous Section of the photos area.

The first x-ray shows my wife’s spine some ago. She had a lot pain and would sometimes be confined to bed for two days at a time. The doctors who examined her said “Nothing can be done for you except to take pain killers”. Another told us that Harrington Rods could be inserted into her spine.

http://www.rad.washington.edu/staticpix ... dsRods.jpg

I won’t even begin to go into that one.

By sheer chance we came across a chiropractor who uses a treatment method called the Pettibon system.

http://www.pettibonsystem.com/

The second x-ray shows the dramatic improvement in her lumbar spinal area as well as part of the thoracic. That is an old x-ray. From an examination of her spinous processes [ the “knobbly bits” ] on her spine, a recent examination showed her spine is now almost normal.

Should you not believe even what has been shown above, please feel free to contact the following person:

Dr Eric Lerner
Lerner Family Chiropractic centre
1405 Hiawassee RD
Suite D
Orlando
Fl 32835
Tel: 1-407-292-0909
Fax: 407-292-4660

I have given Dr. Lerner permission to release the medical records of myself and my wife.

Should you need original copies, I am prepared to pay for a CD copy to be sent to you for examination by an independent consultant of your choice. I’ll pay for his fee.

To this point, not one single person has “taken me up on this”. On countless forums, I’ve issued a challenge like the one above.to the ones who have said “rubbish” “what medical training have you had etc . I never hear from any of them again.

So, you have a chance here to do something to “prove me wrong”.

Let us all know what you want to do.

My backs fine so I see no need to prove anything either way. I commented on your lack of respect for the medical profession while asking for your views to be respected and taken seriously. They would have to provide more than a handful of x-rays to substantiate their case.

You seems to be on a quest or in a competition that no one else is aware off. There is people all over the world with x-rays before and after which no one can explain. Have you ever been to an evangelical gathering and seen them people at work.

By all means promote your opinion but can you not accomplish it without trying to undermine the current respected and tested treatments.

Your back may well be fine, but there are a lot of people out there who’s backs are not OK, and have been told “There is no hope for you”. Those are the people my postings are meant for. People who have been through the medical system and told that nothing more can be done for them.

In back pain cases I always tell people to see a doctor first. Sadly some causes of back pain are related to areas such as kidney problems etc. It is when people have exhausted all other avenues of treatment that I am trying to say “There may some other treatments available”.

Just got off the phone a while ago with a Pettibon practioner. He told me that the Maximized Living Group have about 185, 000 x-rays still on file of similar cases to mine. He told me that could probably get about a few thousand of the worst x-rays for you or an expert of your choice to examine. Said he could probably get permission for examination of every one of the x-rays he has done, as people are just grateful to be pain free. Let me know how you want to do this.

I am not trying to undermine any conventional medical treatment or therapy.

Thank god for medicine. In Nigeria, I would be dead by now if it was not for drugs that saved my life on two occasions.

I would always recommend seeing your doctor first. I always do. But, if you get to the stage where you are told “You’re a lost case”… yes ….. many have literally been told that in back pain cases, know that there are other treatments out there that may help.

Let me ask you this:

What causes ulcers ?[ yeah, I know, my postings….but beyond that …? ]

Have PM'd you with the details of a young man in London who has gone through a lot of pain and has been through the entire conventional medical process with little success.

Feel free to phone him [ he's in London ] and chat about me, his case etc.

Let us all know what he has to say.

Instead of sending a message like;

“Dave, I totally disagree with you for the following reasons”.. you put up a rather snidey comment to me about “a little knowledge being a dangerous thing”. Nothing else.

That was no “little knowledge”. I spent twelve hours a day studying anatomy in bed [ which I knew nothing about ] in order to help myself. Every doctor, and I mean every one I saw told me “There is nothing that can be done for you. Nothing”.

What got me through it was my determination to get myself my well,as well my parachute regiment training. I’m not 100% yet, and have many problems, but I can now walk, wash myself, feed myself, bend my spine and God willing get back to work some time. That was the whole reason why Fox News did a two hour special on my case. They heard about it from a retired dentist and then investigated all aspects using a highly qualified medical doctor, not just some reporter. At the end of it, she herself had treatment done on her neck for a herniated disk which saved her from being operated on. If you look on the video link I put on the para reg website about it, you can check up on her credentials if you see fit.

I am using the free time I have just now before going back to work to try and give a little hope to some people. None was given to me.

I had a bit of religious faith before all this happened but that vanished the day that chiro messed my spine up. Several months later I was three weeks away from going to India to have my right leg amputated as I could no longer tolerate the pain. By a miracle [ and I mean that ] one of the US doctors who had told me that they would not carry out the operation on ethical grounds put me in touch with a man called Al Meilus, and that’s when I started to get better. My faith has been restored, even though I am struggling to forgive those who put me in this situation. God is responsible for all these healings in the end.

Finger problem there.

In repsonse to the above:

You said that "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing". I replied with that link to a back pain forum in order to show that there are people who'm I've helped. I've asked you to PM me and I can supply names and e-mails for many, many people, but you have not done so.

I wanted to make one thing clear. I have healed not one single person. What I have done is put people in touch with specialists who were able to help me. I have told them about certain stretching programs, inversion tables etc. I have shared with them the things that I did to get well. Not all have been helped. Some are still in terrible pain, due to being unable to travel, finances etc. That website www.losethebackpain.com has helped countless people with back pain who were told nothing more could be done. There are a bunch of people from the UK on there.

AFRTS [ US Armed Forces Radio and Television Service ] just did a program on the "alternative treatment ' program on Al Meilus' robot that got me walking. Al's waiting to get a copy to put on his website.

In the meantime, feel free to contact the program sponsor, Congressman Bill Young.

You are correct sir.

I need to improve my debating skills.

I’m trying to remember the debating society at school. Thirty four years ago….. so bear with me.

Now there were two groups …….

One lot were good lads, who’d watch your back and never betray a confidence.

The others were sneaky wee s**ites who’d drop you in the c**p as soon as look at you. Very smug.

Can’t for the life of me remember which group the debating people were in…….

However, from what I have seen so far, and your publishing of a PM from greenronnie I will say that you are more of a master debater than I could ever hope to be.

Bless

Dave just try basic respect and good manners and you should be ok. I was never in the debating club at school but me mum taught me that as a young lad.

However, from what I have seen so far, and your publishing of a PM from greenronnie I will say that you are more of a master debater than I could ever hope to be.

Dave are you angry? You sound it. I‘m not interested in infantile silly names, so if that’s your style your get the same treatment. I think we now have a pretty good idea why the Doctor (Ruth) ignored you.

Good luck with your crusade and the Masters degree in telling Doctors and surgeons their job.

Two Australian scientists have been awarded the Nobel prize for medicine for their discovery that stomach ulcers can be caused by a bacterial infection.
