There is a book out about the first lady parachutist and the title is WHEN THE CHUTE WENT UP. This is about a local lass who was jumping from balloons before the aeroplane had made it first flight and her name was Dolly Shepherd she made her last jump in 1904 and was paid £2.10s a jump and is an interesting read. The book is on sale which is a hard backed book for £5.00 P&P are extra. if you are interested e-mail
