Did anyone see the article in The Mirror the other day about the Pathfinders?
Apparently there was a large battle between NATO troops and the Taliban in a cave complex. Three French SF were killed and so they called for re-enforcements.
The quick reaction force sent to help them was made up from the SAS & SBS with the Pathfinders backing them up.
Sounded like it must have been quite a large firefight but it wasn't mentioned on the news so I can only go on what the paper said.

What I mean is that at least they are coming out and making a straight fight of it instead of using cowardly IEDs & suicide bombers which you don't have a chance against.
No-one likes being shot at, unless you're a lunatic. I didn't say the Paras were enjoying it. But if they have to engage the enemy, I think they'd prefer a scenario where a normal fire-fight ensues rather than the cowardly tactics terrorists use these days.

Come on the reg!
That contact last week was aparently the biggest battle 3 para has had since Mt Longdon. A 6 hour contact...the blokes loved it! The allyest award goes to a member of the sniper platoon who took someone out with a head shot.
All i get to do is stag on unfortunatly. However im out and about today which makes a change. My fun cant last forever though, i have a chinook flight back to base in figures few.
