SAS: Are you tough enough?

Post by designervision »

Has anyone seen this? It has just come to New Zealand so I watch it every Thursday. Really good - an awesome insight into the type of life you would have as a Royal Marine.

Sam.

I mean that the SAS will surely be similar to the good ol' Royal Marines.

There've been at least two series of that - is it the one with the girl from Russia, who got taught how to use a Kalashnikov (?sp) in school?

One normal, one jungle and one desert?

Probably. I only really remember the first one though, although the jungle thing sounds familiar too. When was the desert one? If it was last summer, I was away for about 3 months.

Amazon reviews are a bit, um, scathing http://www.amazon.co.uk/SAS-Are-Tough-E ... B00005QC40

I've watched them all when they were shown years ago and i liked them. I didnt take them literally back then either, as that would have been stupid. But i think that it does give a slight insight into what its like to be a soldier. Whats wrong with that? Nothing i say.

Just as long as this doesn't turn into a slating session then its all good!

Also, there was going to be one done in Norway - 'SAS Arctic: Are You Tough Enough?' But the BBC axed that. :-?

I would definately have watched it.

Wouldnt go on just reviews either, who is to say whats enjoying to watch and not? No one. Just because someone says something is crap, doesn't mean you will feel the same way.

Poxy critics, what a sh!t job
