Hello macvsog,

Perhaps the nearest book to the subject could be:

The British Army In Ulster by David Barzilay, printed in1973.
This was published by;

Century Services Ltd
61 Donegall Street
Belfast
Northen Ireland

Bearing in mind this address is now 35 years old!! :roll:

Or you could browse;

Rover,

I found on the internet a four (4) Volume set by the name of: The British Army In Ulster by David Barzilay.

Should I get the four volume set instead of just the one book (Volume 1)?

Why not try your local library first??

If you've got the title, see if they can get hold of it for you? (Why spend the money if it might not really be what you're after... ) Can always go on Amazon and buy a copy once you're sure it fits the bill if it's a book for your collection.... (currently priced at £14 on Amazon for a used copy good condition)

Alternatively try "The Irish War - the Military History of a Domestic Conflict" by Tony Geraghty

Trust me I know our Libraries. If it is a pictorial book on war then it will not be allowed to check out and entitled a "Reference" book instead. My library here also does not carry books about that war.

Hello Mark,

Did a search on Google and came up with this.

http://www.alibris.co.uk/booksearch?qwo ... wXUbgP1DHg

The book I have was printed in 1973.

I see that the set of four was printed in 1978.
In which case the set of four seems a better deal and if you scroll down the link they can be had in the US.

Seems a strange library system you have!

So if I should ever wish to read about the 'Boston Tea Party', then I would need to look in the ' domestic section ' under 'party for beginers' ?? :D :D

No, you'd look under "Tea Parties for Beginners" or even under the section on "Guerilla Warfare a Beginners Guide". :D :o

I bought the four Volumes from I believe Amazon last night. Volume 1 seems to be very different than just the book that was mention earlier. I think I might have to buy the first book on the subject and then the series would be complete. Something such as this: Book, Volume 1, Volume 2, Volume 3, then Volume 4 (supposedly the rarest of the set). Five books in all. Or might I be missing something here? It wouldn't be the first time this Yank got a little dazed and confused you know. :o
