Financial Help upon Joining (Army)

Last time i was at catterick, the staff asked if anyone had any debts, if so to report to the platoon office. I didn't last time, this time I'm not in serious debt, but my outgoings exceed my income, and the shit is about to hit, as it were.

Is help offered, or do they just want to know what additional problems/distractions recruits have?

It was suggested that they may offer a small loan, which is taken out of your pay before you recieve it...

If anyone can shed some light on this, it would be appreciated.

No need, i have it sorted.

Financial help is NOT offered, but your outgoings on debt payments must not exceed £250 (ish) pcm (at least during depot)

No, not that i am aware of, they didn't want any last time, i think it's up to you to tell them, not 100% sure on how it all works to be honest, just what the Sgt at the afco told me. :)
