help ww2 royal marines

can anybody help with information .attached is a photo of a group of royal marines .my wifes great uncle is in the photo. he served on hms dorsetshire as a royal marine when it was sunk by the Japanese.he didn't survive . could this photo be of the marines on the ship ? any info on what the marines did on the dorsetshire would be greatly helpful. I cant seem to find any info on the marines on board ships in ww2. his name was Thomas green service number PLY/X 100090
