royal marines officer or soldier

im in last year high school and going to college after i leave school, i want join the royal marines but should i join as an officer or soldier but i want an active combat role
any suggestions ?

The choice is yours to make, all you have to do is to make up your OWN mind what you want

Whichever route you decide on you'll see Ops, only thing to bear in mind is that as an Officer you will do a fair bit of time on staff duties. A Royal Marine will end up doing loads of Ops...

Either way you have to make the decision and I'd suggest that you do a bit of research first!

I think your best plan would be to speak to the recruiting staff at your local Armed Forces Careers Office (AFCO).
You can take a parent along as well if you want.
They can tell you the difference and explain it to you for you to understand and have a think about. This is what they're there for.
They can also answer any other questions you have and tell you more about your options.
