Discharge SHORE?

Hi There,
As you can see, I am new to the forum here.
What is discharge SHORE? and what are the conditions?

When you get drafted around the Corps on your Draft Chit (written orders) it says where you are going ie CTCRM
When you leave the Corps for whatever reason, you still get paperwork and as you have no destination within the service your destination reads:
Discharge Shore
Meaning going ashore from a ship.
We are a Naval service after all.
Its just a term of phrase, thats all

'Discharge Shore' usually means Service No Longer Required (SNLR) & is usually a disciplinary category for discharge for those having completed recruit training for a plethora of military offences ranging from financial irresponsibility, AWOL, fighting, insubordination, disobeying direct orders to consistent lateness, poor attitude etc. It has been used, on occasion for non-disciplinary issues, but rarely.

I have a copy of my final draft order and it says Discharge Shore.
And the worse I got was a good bollocking!
Your final draft is termed that way for what ever reason.

Stix, my definition came from a recruitment officer .
However, it is worth highlighting that there are other uses for the term.
