Believe it or not but 8.02pm on February 20, 2002 will be an historic
moment in time.
It will not be marked by the chiming of any clocks or the ringing of
bells, but at that precise time, on that specific date, something will
happen which has not occurred for 1,001 years and will never happen
again.
As the clock ticks over from 8.01pm on Wednesday, February 20, time
will, for sixty seconds only, read in perfect symmetry 2002, 2002,
2002, or to be
more precise - 20:02, 20/02, 2002.
The last occasion that time read in such a symmetrical pattern was
long before the days of the digital watch and the 24-hour clock - at
10.01am on January 10, 1001.
And because the clock only goes up to 23.59, it is something that will
never happen again.

We can't help the fact our American Cousins don't have a grasp of the 'old country's' idiosynchracies - however, that aside -
What about 2112 2112 2112 or to translate for our American folk out there ......
12 mins past nine o'clock on the evening of the 12th December in the year Two thousand, one hundred and twelve
Have a nice day .....

What about 11:11 11th Nov in the year 1111 or 12:12 12th Dec 1212 etc, or even 18:05 18th May 1805, just a few months before Royal (with a little help from the Navy) fully intended to give the Spanish a good hiding, no mistake that time ?

nice one El t, however when you read it out loud your example sounds like a soundcheck on a P.A. system! These dates are called "palindromic dates" which means reading the same backwards or forwards. You probably remember the palindrome about Napolion from school "I saw Elba, ere, able was I" well how about "sex at noon taxes" or "a nut for a jar of tuna",or even "man,Eve let an irate tar in at eleven am"

Further to my last, when I was a kid my Dad used to say" I`ve arranged for everyone to wear a red flower in honour of your birthday" and for years I beleived him (till I was at least twenty I think). When my son is old enough I will tell him that in honour of his birthday, I have arranged for all bootnecks to get shit-faced, the world over!
