I concur with all that Dave has said...... Also, one of the ways of entry to the Intelligence services MI5 MI6 is often by selection through one of the OXBRIDGE Universities. Dare say, I would hazard a guess that this is a Boyhood dream, that you have no concept as to what or where you are going, beyond having read a couple of rip roaring tales.
Believe me, those who eventually get picked for these jobs, are often the least likely.

I may be wrong, so,I wish you all the luck in your quest

May I ask just what do you mean by Black Op's, I don't think the Forces would admit of having black op's if they were illegal in any way.

Good luck in your quest nc25. Mike's advice is sound - get yourself into an Oxbridge university and wait for the call. It helps if you're a beefer and read PG Wodehouse, get some style tips (you know, foppish haircut) and mannerisms (mild, little boy lost, stammer) from watching Brideshead Revisited and Bob's yer bum bandit. You don't find them, they find you

Just to add to the above,
Once you get into Queen's College Oxford start reading John LeCarre novels.
Buy a Walther PPK(Oh,Sorry,You can't)And practise disappearing in a crowd.
The squirrels will be gagging to recruit you.

My initial thoughts are that you are either 12 yr old or taking the P*"£! and that "intelligence" and "officer" should never be used in the same sentence!
I note you've put down "RAF" as your occupation and "Marines" as you interests, perhaps you should consider taking a little longer to ultimately decide upon which career path you really wish to pursue. Whether it be RAF, Royal or Spook the best advice I can offer is to stick in at school, cut down on your fiction intake and consult the AFCO!

ok then i guess i owe an explination! i have this login id for about 4 yrs and never ever used it! i used to look over these forums. im 19 now when i first got the id at 14/15 i was only a kid and wasnt even aware that i had that info on my profile. i was a Flt.Sgt. in the ATC for 5 years. was always interested in the armed forces or spooks. not so much because of it being a boyhood dream but because iv always wanted to use my inteligence in the field, hence the RAF intelligence officer which i am leaning towards. as im sure many people in the forces have, iv at some point or another, wanted to be in just about every section of the forces and have never been truly clear what i want to specialise in, only that i want to go into the forces. im doing a degree at Nottingham uni at the min so it aint quiet oxford. but i wasnt thinking along the lines of black ops in its truest sense. as it happens i watched my first episode of stargate the other night! (yes yes sci-fi bull shit) but i couldnt help but notice the military operation which is depicted in the show, and while i know its not gonna be anything like that in real life, iv would like to think that i had the chance to get involved in secret projects such as the stargate. (all be it vastly Implausible). this is just what spured my imagination and i thought i would post it to see peoples thoughts although i can see i worded it incredebly wrong considering the majority of users are mearly looking to criticise and not help. cheers

If you want to go for something like intelligence just make sure you study something relevent that you can offer them. Multipile languages is a good one.

Maybe I'm biting here, or I'm going to flame for no reason. However.....

1. With your level of spelling, grammar and general grasp of the English language I seriously doubt that you're at uni.

2. If you're not in the RAF, why does your occupation say 'RAF'. Rather walt-ish innit.

3. WTF is this profile photo:

Overall I believe this is bollox! Though of course that's just my opinion........
