Do you want to be a Royal Engineer? Or a parachutist?

Only take this route if you really want to be a Royal Engineer, as it's very specific and you may not get the opportunity to take that route.
Are you really interested in the Parachute Regiment?

well i want to be a combat engineer and i have researched a parachute specialist and would like to do it. My reason being i do want to be in combat but ni dont want to go just in to infantry as when i leave i wont have anythin to follow on to but if i was a royal engineer i would have a trade.

Cool, sounds like a really good career :D
As with anything like this, be aware things can change along the way so make sure your primary choice (Royal Engineers) is what you really want, in case the rest doesn't work out...but...
Good luck, I wish you all the best with it! They're a great regiment 8)
